Lyrics to "England's Rose"
Written by Barrie Smith / copyright 1997
The Tears have all been shed now,
We"ve said our last goodbyes,
Her soul`s been blessed, shes laid to rest,
In England`s countryside.
She was more than just a Mother,
And everybody knows
She can still be heard in the Songs we sing
Of our Lovely English Rose.

Chorus
We never will forget Her,
Her Legend grows and grows
Though She`s gone, Memories Linger on
And we miss her, Englands Rose.
With Courage she went walking,
By Mountain, Field and Brook
To show the world those dreadfull Mines
And childrens limbs they took,
What she strived for carry forward,
Don"t let it be undone,
Let Nations be United and try to Live as One.
Chorus
We thougt she`d live forever,
She seemed to be so strong,
But the strains of life took their toll
Media hounding was all wrong.
Then suddenly it happened
A Nation left in Grief,
No second chance to tell her thanks,
Just shock and dis-belief.
Chorus
